Cast Globe Valve

Globe valves excel in throttling applications due to their precise and repeatable flow control capabilities. ACEV Flow Control stands as a pioneering expert in the globe valve market, specializing in cast globe valves tailored to your needs.

ACEV boasts manufacturing prowess, offering cast globe valves ranging from 1/2" to 24" in size and ANSI pressure classes from 150# to 1500#. These valves are crafted from Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloy 20, and other specialized materials.

The BS 1873 / API 623 series of ACEV globe valves are renowned for their robustness, durability, quality, and integrity. Designed for superior sealing and effortless operation, these valves come with flanged or buttweld ends, pressure ratings from ASME Class 150 to Class 2500, and a variety of construction materials.

The globe valve body is designed in various types, with the Tee-type, Y-type, and Angle type being the most prevalent.

The Z-type, also known as the Tee pattern, stands as the most common and straightforward design. Featuring a Z-shaped partition housing the seat within the globular body, this type allows the disc and stem to move perpendicular to the pipe axis, albeit at the cost of a significant pressure loss. Notably, the seat is easily accessible via the bonnet, connecting to a generous opening atop the valve body. This design ensures that operational pressure fluctuations do not hinder valve performance during throttling.

The Y-type, or Wye pattern, serves as a solution to the high pressure drop issue associated with the Z-type. Here, the seat and stem are angled at approximately 45 degrees to the pipe axis, making this type ideal for high-pressure applications where pressure drops are critical.

Lastly, the Angle type redirects flow by 90 degrees without requiring additional tools or connectors like elbows or welding. In this design, the disc lifts against the downward flow direction, making it resilient to flow fluctuations and capable of enduring slugging effects.
