Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve

Trunnion-mounted ball valves are pivotal components in fluid control systems, delivering precise regulation and robust sealing across diverse industries.
Distinct from other ball valves, trunnion ball valves boast a fixed ball securely anchored to a shaft, known as the trunnion, ensuring steadfast positioning. This innovative design offers exceptional stability and precise control, rendering trunnion ball valves exceptionally suitable for high-pressure applications.
Their fixed ball design provides superior sealing on both ends and necessitates minimal torque for operation, making trunnion ball valves the ideal choice for high-pressure scenarios.
Furthermore, the double block and bleed (DBB) process, which involves shutting off a pipe section on both sides of the valve, can be effectively executed with trunnion ball valves. They can block both upstream and downstream areas of the working zone and vent any residual pressure in the piping and valve, ensuring comprehensive control and safety.
ACEV trunnion-mounted ball valves are employed in the most demanding processes across virtually all industries.
Our extensive range features soft-seated designs that offer exceptional leak resistance, top-entry valves with a one-piece body for inline maintenance, and metal-seated valves that excel in high-temperature operations and provide robust abrasion resistance in challenging applications.
In addition to forged or cast bodies, welded body designs are perfect for buried service applications, minimizing potential leak points and reducing fugitive emissions from flanges.

Soft-seated Trunnion Mounte

In oil and gas applications, tight shutoff is paramount, and ACEV's soft-seated trunnion-mounted ball valves, with their superior anchoring, are ideally suited for large, high-pressure valve applications. Their trunnion-mounted stems absorb line pressure and minimize friction, reducing torque even at high operating ranges.
ACEV Flow Control manufactures 3PCS and 2PCS trunnion ball valves to the highest design and quality standards. Our valves feature a secondary emergency sealant injection design that provides temporary seals for damaged areas. We also use a wide range of certified materials that resist sulfide stress cracking and enhance performance in corrosive environments. Correct material selection is crucial to counteract the harsh effects of system pressure, application temperature, and elemental sulfur/chloride content.
Additionally, we offer various options such as stem extensions, locking devices, transition pieces, and direct-mounted actuation to meet your specific needs.

Metal-seated Trunnion Mount

ACEV's trunnion-mounted metal-seated ball valves are engineered specifically for high-pressure and high-temperature environments. These valves are tailored to meet the rigorous demands of the upstream and midstream oil and gas industries, where durability and precision are paramount.
Our valves feature a protected seat seal design that ensures long-lasting performance and a tight shut-off in abrasive and erosive conditions, while also adhering to stringent fugitive emission standards. This design reflects our commitment to providing robust solutions that stand up to the harshest operating conditions.
In addition to their standard applications, our trunnion-mounted metal-seated ball valves can be customized to meet specific customer needs. They are designed to handle corrosive, high-temperature, and high-solid applications, providing zero-leakage shutoff in a lower-torque, truly bidirectional package. ACEV's trunnion-mounted metal-seated ball valve is an exceptional choice for demanding, high-cycling applications, offering unparalleled reliability and performance.

Top-entry Trunnion Mounted
ACEV Flow Control presents its Top-Entry Ball Valves, tailored for mission-critical services where minimal downtime translates into significant financial impacts. These valves facilitate online maintenance, negating the need to disconnect them from the pipeline.
Our trunnion-mounted, top-entry high-performance ball valves adhere to international standards such as API 6D, ASME B16.34, and ISO 17292, with additional standards available upon request. They offer a versatile range of seats, including soft, metal, and composite options, which can be configured with single or double piston effects to ensure effective double block and bleed (DB&B) capabilities in both closed and, optionally, open positions.
Crafted with forgings and independent spring- or bellows-loaded floating seats that maintain constant contact with the ball, these valves are the go-to solution for diverse critical applications, including cryogenic environments, high temperatures, low-emission systems, Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems, High Integrity Pressure Protectors (HIPPS), and sub-sea applications.
