Floating ball valves, the prevalent choice for industrial piping systems, are engineered to ensure a tight seal by pressing the ball against the downstream seat as the medium's pressure is applied to the seats.
Operated by a shaft (or stem) attached to the ball's apex, these valves can be rotated 90 degrees. As the ball spins, the port or bore is either exposed or covered by the valve body, thereby controlling the flow of the medium.
Floating ball valves are lightweight, cost-effective, and highly functional, making them ubiquitous in the oil & gas, steam, petrochemical, and chemical industries.
ACEV provides an extensive selection of floating ball valves, encompassing both side entry and top entry models. Our offerings also include both soft-seated and metal-seated options.
These valves are meticulously designed and manufactured to cater to a wide array of applications in sectors such as energy, petroleum, LNG, hydrogen, chemicals, coal chemicals, pulp & paper, and water treatment.
ACEV's floating ball valves are available as forged or cast, with exotic material options and swift delivery times.
Soft-seated floating ball valves
ACEV's soft-seated floating ball valves cater to a diverse range of applications in oil & gas, petrochemical, air separation, and LNG industries, where high-quality and reliable valves are paramount.
Available in both forged and cast versions, our soft-seated floating ball valves boast zero leakage, bidirectional sealing, and ease of operation.
Designed according to ISO 17292, BS5351, API 608, and API 6D standards, ACEV's end-entry (also known as side-entry) soft-seated floating ball valves come in sizes ranging from 1/2" to 10", with a broad temperature range (-46°C to 200°C) and pressure range (150LB to 2500LB).
Metal-seated Floating Ball valves
ACEV's metal-seated floating ball valve is engineered for robust performance in harsh environments, including high-temperature and high-pressure industries. It excels in applications involving the conversion of hydrocarbons into gas, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined products, as well as in demanding scenarios like superheated steam, abrasive media, coking processes, mining operations, and power generation.
With a diverse selection of body materials and end connections, ACEV's valves offer exceptional durability and reliable shut-off capabilities, ensuring they outperform other valves in numerous applications prone to premature failure.
Top-entry Floating Ball valves
ACEV's top-entry floating ball valves facilitate effortless in-line service or replacement without compromising valve integrity. These valves are ideal for piping systems where the valve top can be detached, granting access to the ball and seats without dismantling the entire valve from the system. Typically favored in process systems preferring in-line maintenance over full removal, they excel in typical cryogenic applications such as LNG, LPG, and air separation. Leveraging cutting-edge lip seal technology and intelligent valve designs, ACEV ensures exceptional sealing performance even at minus 196°C operating temperatures.
