Cryogenic Butterfly Valve
The butterfly valve engineered for cryogenic service excels in tight shut-off and throttling applications. Its triple offset disc movement eliminates concentrated wear on the sealing ring, thereby prolonging its lifespan. Standard body configurations include flanged and butt-welded designs.
The butt-welded type features an extended body to safeguard the sealing area from heat conduction during welding installation.
An inspection door atop the valve body facilitates effortless inspection, maintenance, and replacement of internal components without necessitating valve removal or pipe cutting.
To prevent internal stress in the bonnet during cooldown, all bonnet joints are securely bolted. Additionally, the bonnet is extended to ensure that the gland area remains free from freezing, even at temperatures as low as -196˚C.
The valve can be installed with its shaft facing any direction. The top flange drilling conforms to ISO 5211 standards, making it compatible with a wide range of gears and actuators.
